I’m a Senior stylist at Hairroin Salon in Hollywood specializing in blonde hair. When I’m away from the salon, I generate new styles for photoshoots. Recent works can be seen in magazine covers of Modern Salon and Blackbook magazine. I’ve styled for movies, commercials/ ad campaigns for Apple computers, Sprite, and Raw Natural Beauty cosmetics, and worked on television shows such as "Beauty and the Geek" and both seasons of "The Search for the next Pussycat Doll". I’ve also contributed my talents to many fashion runway shows like Guess?, Buffalo by David Bitton and Jared Gold.

Is there anywhere I can buy hydraboost firming powder?? by
Why discontinue this product??? This is the only makeup I can wear. All the makeup I have tried has dried out my skin and made it flakey. Redpoint Hydraboost firming powder is literally the only makeup I can wear. I've been using this product for about 6 years now. I was going to buy some today only to find out its been discontinued? trying to reorder but not sure of tone on the compact by
Hi,
I have a .32oz compact of the noc-out cover up which I absolutely love. I am discovering I am not able to order the .32oz anymore but rather in the smaller version is available in an essentials kit. The kit has 3 different tones to chose from (light, light med, med). My old compact has a label on the back that has been rubbed off and can not read anymore. I have to original box it came in but can not locate any "tone" information. How can I figure out which tone I currently have with my old compact case?

Aggravating Dilemma!!!! by Ivy
I have naturally thick black hair and have the worst problem with dry scalp. I have tried everything from hot oil treatments,leave on treatments,products with tea tree oil (which only helped for a very short while) and i even went to a salon and asked their opinion and absolutely nothing has helped. There is nothing worse than having dark hair with flakes in it. another thing is the "patches" are only in certain areas like the very front of my head and the top on both sides but they are just small patches...Is their anything you can recommend? 2010-07-19 |

The fioravanti Clarify and Shine, this shine rinse can be used as an alternative to shampooing and should be kept in everyone's gym bag! i have fine limp hair so i like to wash it very often to keep it from looking flat. With the clarify and shine rinse i don't shampoo every day, or overtime i go to the gym. It completely saves my color and leaves hair squeaky clean.
Dry Shampoo. My secret trick for volume, also a must on days when you want to sleep in and don't have time to wash and blow-dry
and of course a good hairspray! None of that sticky stiff stuff people used in the 1980's, but a lightweight spray to tame flyways and hold curls. i am loving the Kronos K force at the moment

since you are a blonde i would never tell you to shy away from conditioner, but make sure you are only putting it on the ends of your hair and not on your scalp- that will cause flat roots.
also try keeping shine products away from your scalp.
i recommend using a root lift at the base of your hair, and blowdrying your hair upside down for more volume. I love the Nick Chavez super lift!
One of my favorite volume shampoos is the Fredrick Fekkai Full blown volume. This shampoo is super gentle so it won't strip all the moisture from your hair, but helps add lift!

To Wash or Not To Wash by Lauren
So...my tresses tend to get dry so I don't wash my hair more than 2/3 times a week; however, my roots can sometimes get oily. I've heard dry shampoo can do the trick, but do you have any tips so I can make the most out of not washing? Thanks! 2010-01-04 Comments

It's best not to wash your hair every day, but if you are like me your fringe splits up and hair gets flat and greasy looking.
I love dry shampoo, to absorb the oil and give hair a bit more volume.
Another one of my favorite products is the Rene Ferturer clarify and shine rinse, it's great to use instead of shampoo every other time you was your hair. The low PH level closes the cuticle (outer layer of hair) to leave hair reflectively shiny and preserve color.

Platinum blonde hair is more porous so it absorbs minerals in water, giving it a yellow tinge. You can buy water filters at any hardware store, to help with this.
Since hair is more porous toners do fade out much too fast. you can use a violet shampoo IN MODERATION to help keep it silver, using it every shampoo will lead to a dull grey tone instead of bright blonde.
I am a fan of the Klorane blonde highlights shampoo, which is not a purple shampoo but does brighten up blondes so they look fresh and luminescent.

so far in 2010 i'm seeing lots of fishtail braids and messy loose braids on the runway. Soft beige blondes and light tobacco brown colors are making a comeback for fall, think soft romantic colors for spring.
I think there will also be many styles that are the opposite (of what i just described) and will be very geometric and structured, think Lady Gaga's wigs.
i predict 2010 will be all about these two extremely different styles!

i love changing client's fringe in between haircuts. Switching up just the slightest detail in your fringe can leave you feeling like you have a whole new look!
try some asymmetrical slanted bangs, or a soft piecey fringe that sweeps across your face.
