For the most precise eye liner (thin and close to the lash) keep the pencil sharpened. For a smudgy liner look the pencil works best if the point is round and not extra sharp. To get a catwalk-smoky eye apply a slightly thick line to the upper and lower lashes. Using your flexi-firm, beveled smudger and gently begin buffing the liner back and forth until you see the results you want.
