The brush does not shed all over my face like the brushes from the drug store inevitably do. I use it for loose powder. It is so soft on my face and spreads the powder evenly.

This is a very good "overall" brush. I love the quality and soft feel. I highly recommend this product. I ordered four or five different brushes and recommend them all.
