If you're into Academy Award nominated Ryan Gosling, you most likely appreciate him for his work in The Notebook and Lars and the Real Girl -- not so much for his stint as a kid crooner and dancer on Disney's Mickey Mouse Club. Much less embarrassing and a whole lot more our style is his current musical project, the goth folk outfit Dead Man's Bones, the brainchild of Gosling and actor friend Zach Shields. The self-titled record was originally supposed to serve as the soundtrack to a play penned by the two L.A.-based friends. When the budget grew too ambitious, Gosling and Shields made sure the play's soundtrack survived in album form, an LP which features the two playing all their own instruments and was recorded in less than three takes per track.
