SKY NELLOR / DJ and Model
THE FACTS:

By combining her natural beauty and contagious personality with her extreme talent, Sky Nellor is one individual that proves it’s all in the mix.  In music, Sky captivates the crowd, ruling the turn-tables at some of the world’s most exclusive parties. In fashion, Sky successfully maintains her status as one of modeling’s elite, continuously photographed on the red carpet and in high profile fashion campaigns. And now, with her sex appeal, confidence, and charisma in tow, Sky Nellor commands her presence on air as a major up and coming television personality.

Originally discovered in her homeland of Australia, Sky was soon photographed for top international magazines, including the covers of Vogue and Amica. After shooting the widely coveted Guess campaign, Sky traveled the world modeling and nurturing her appreciation for cultural diversity and music.  Influenced by such legends as Aretha Franklin, Blondie, Al Green, Rick James, and Prince, Sky started to blend her travels with her inspiration. Back in the US, fueled by this passion and acting on a dare from a friend, Sky spontaneously jumped behind the turn-tables at a club to spin her favorite tunes. The crowd was floored and thus “DJ” Sky Nellor was born.

Shortly thereafter, with her popularity spreading through positive word of mouth, Sky started spinning at some of the most glamorous fashion, entertainment, and music industry events in the US. She became a fixture at soirees for Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, and Vanity Fair.  Inventive and energetic, Sky was pleasing the crowds while controlling the ebb and flow of the party, mixing musical genres like rock, hip-hop, funk, soul, and 80’s classics.

Today her clientele ranges from Diddy to BMW, Britney to ESPN, and MTV to Kanye West, with President Bill Clinton filling out the in-between. One of her most notable performances remains the Giorgio Armani / Vanity Fair Walk Of Fame Event where she performed onstage with Outkast for over 3 hours.  There, with Sky Nellor providing the soundtrack, Giorgio Armani was awarded the first ever Hollywood Star presented to a fashion designer.

These days sky can be seen, heard, and experienced at an array of exclusive hot spots in all over the world. Over the last few years, Sky hosted and music supervised NBC‘s “Hip Hop On Ice” with Tara Lipinski, an internationally televised event.  Sky has also hosted segments for Russell Simmons’ One World Music Beat, VH1’ S Cover Wars with Paul Schaeffer, and has made numerous appearances on Ellen, ANTM, MTV, E! and Millionaire Matchmaker. And even reported the entertainment news for KTLA in Los Angeles, covering celebrity and red carpet events.

A one of a kind talent, Sky excels in any field she chooses.  Sky Nellor currently resides in NYC. Her “Missy Elliot, Respect Me Mix Tape” and DJ Sky Nellor “Mix Tape VOL 8” and “VOL 9” are now available. As Sky Nellor has proven, one can truly say for her, ‘the Sky’s the Limit.’

Rather than approaching makeup as a craft that covers up or masks a person’s individuality, she chooses instead to enhance their natural beauty and find whatever it is in them that stands out from the crowd.  This approach has landed her assignments all over the world from Los Angeles to Brazil, Fiji, and destinations all over the United States and Europe.

Her unique vision and skill as a makeup artist has captured the attention of the industry and over the past decade, she has worked with many of the most celebrated faces in film, television and music:  Casey Affleck, Hilary Duff, Pink, Kevin Connelly, Steven Spielberg, Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Munn, Morgan Freeman, Jenna Fischer, Jason Bateman, Oliver Stone, Ashley Greene and Robert Redford, to name only a few.  This sought-after artist has been hired by some of the most impressive directors and photographers in the field and has traveled the world working advertising shoots, commercials, television shows and music videos.  Those that work with her hire her again and again citing her reputation for clean, fresh, beauty makeup that highlights each person’s individuality and her ability to get along with not only those she’s working on, but the teams she’s working with.

Though she’s worked with stunning models, accomplished directors, actors, actresses and rock stars, Hilda’s passion extends beyond glamorous and famous faces to those in need.  She puts her skill and passion to work with various non-profit organizations providing makeup styling and tips for women in halfway houses, troubled teens and women’s shelters.  “When we look our best, we feel better,” Hilda says.  “And witnessing the transformation of the women and teens I work with, is not just physical.  There is an emotional transformation that brings them a certain confidence that helps prepare them for the challenges that they face every day as they embark on making changes in their lives.  It’s inspiring.”

Hilda lives in Los Angeles. She is currently developing her own cruelty-free, all natural makeup line that she plans on launching in 2012. When she’s not working she enjoys yoga, vegetarian cooking and baking, traveling and hiking with her two dogs, Herbie and Milton.

ANDREA FAIRWEATHER BAILEY / Celebrity Makeup Artist
THE FACTS:

Celebrity Makeup Artist Andrea Fairweather is responsible for the most flawless faces on television, including the talent behind Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America and The Insider. Fairweather has developed a cult following for her extraordinary ability to highlight each individual’s unique features without making them look too “done up.” Andrea doesn‘t believe in covering freckles and restructuring the face with makeup; she believes in capturing each person’s innate beauty by highlighting assets they already have (and may not know about.) For Fairweather each face is a blank canvas that she carefully molds into a work of art; her goal a natural, effortless beauty that doesn’t look like the client is trying too hard.

Armed with the knowledge that most women can’t afford a makeup artist but want the flawless look of celebrities, Andrea launched Fairweather Faces. Her revolutionary line of face charts and makeup brushes is color coded so women can easily apply a variety of different looks on the go. From trendy to natural, Fairweather Faces’ patent pending makeup system shows women how, when and where to apply their makeup. By following this easy to use color coding system they know exactly which brushes to use and where to put foundation, blush and eyeshadow.

Fairweather believes that everyone should feel beautiful and at peace. Her extensive base of celebrity clients includes Lara Spencer, Deborah Norville, Diane Sawyer, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Gayle King, Kyra Sedgwick, Whoopi Goldberg, Judith Jamison and many more. She also works with leading men and musicians such as Ben Affleck, Jude Law, Usher, John Mayer and Sean Combs. Andrea’s work can be seen on The Insider, Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, 20/20, Nightline, Nickelodeon, Law and Order, The History Channel, CNN, ESPN, VH1, and BET Tonight. Her advice has graced the pages of People Magazine, Real Simple, and The New York Times.

CONFESSIONS

  1. What makes you blush? What makes me blush is the look I get from my husband when he sees me all dolled up. He is the only man I know that actually notices when my eyes pop from a new eye shadow I couldn't wait to get my hands on. It melts me!
  2. What’s the best beauty advice you ever received? The best beauty advice I ever received was from my Mother. I used to love to watch her do her hair and makeup when she and my Dad would have a romantic night out. My Mother, a classic beauty, advised me to enjoy the colors and the transformation but never rely on it to make you feel better about yourself. Be content with yourself even without the beauty products. Go Mom!
  3. What are your three must-have makeup products? Concealer—it’s a key tool to brighten a tired face. Also, lip gloss. I’m a certified lip gloss junkie. Right now I am loving any fuchsia or orange hue as it is universal for most skin tones. It warms all complexions and makes a fashion-forward statement. My obsession right now: Luxurious Lips by Paula Dorf  and  PureGloss by Jane Iredale
